AOC GIGONDAS millésime 2016

2016 Chateau La Croix Des Pins • Gigondas Le Parpaillon 90
An oak-aged cuvée, the 2016 Gigondas Le Parpaillon is dominated by notes of cedar, vanilla
and baking spices. Yes, it's full-bodied and velvety in texture, but it could come from anywhere.
It's a nicely concentrated, rich, anonymous red for drinking over the next 10 years.

2016 Chateau La Croix Des Pins • Gigondas Les Dessous des Dentelles 93
Even better than the 2015, the 2016 Gigondas Les Dessous des Dentelles is a fine effort,
perfumed like flowering garrigue, it then moves into red fruit on the full-bodied palate. It's
supple, not overly rich, but fresh and peppery, with a mouthwatering finish outlined by silky
tannins. It should drink well for a decade.
